Clementine

If you happen to be close to Clement St, visit Clementine. Clementine will not disappoint you.

Clementine, it is one of my favorite French dinning places.

I've tried many French dishes, both professional cooking and homemade cooking. So I become pretty picky on French food. Among San Francisco French dinning places, I particularly like Clementine.

Many reasons. First of all, the atmosphere is romantic and elegant.
Secondly, its price is absolutely affordable. Third, their food from appetizers to desserts is distinctive. Fourth, you will not feel bored with their food. Sometimes, when you go to a place too often, you feel tired of their cuisine. Clementine is not this kind place. You will feel satisfied in between courses. You will tell yourself you will come back when you walk out Clementine's door.

What we like

The first one is a warm blue cheese tart.
This tart is served with fresh sliced pear and frisée salad
is. This dish is an appetizer. It is a good introduction to Clementine cuisine. The portion as you see is just right for two people. If you like to try some blue cheese, then this one is highly recommended.

The second dish is a salmon appetizer. It has marinated salmon and tuna tartar with sliced natural almond and dashed with hazelnut oil.
If you are not a blue cheese fan, then, you can pick this Tartare de saumon mariné et de thon, amandes et huile de noisette.

The third one is an Entree. It is a halibut dish. The Alaskan halibut is
pan-roasted. Some mashed artichoke and tomato ragoût on the side. The chef dashes some matelote sauce. Profound taste.

I like the fourth one. It is a
honey roasted quail with four spices. You see some porcini mushrooms raviolis underneath. The che
f dashes some truffle oil.

The fifth one is dessert. Cherry clafloutis does not have fancy decoration. It looks down to earth. However, when you taste it, you will know its appearance is its camouflage. Cherry clfloutis is very tasty. Clementine's clafloutis is served with cherry sorbet and red cherry coulis.

Totof and I were 100% satisfied with Clementine.
