Fame sometimes ruins the collaboration. The success of Guitar Hero 2 destroyed the team. Harmonix and RedOctane split. The fights between these two former partners got heated. RedOctane announced to launch Guitar Hero 3 in late October and Harmonix said Rock Band would be released in November.
Good for gamers. It meant there would be two high quality video games on the market soon. Excited.
Totof and I went to Best Buy last week and accidentally saw Rock Band's demo. Wow. It looked super cool. The design was quite aesthetic. We alternated with other customers to try different controllers. Basically, Rock Band had three main controllers: Guitar, Bass, and Drum. You could sing in Rock Band. Since we did not try it, I did not know how the microphone functioned in Rock Band.
We were glad to find out the Guitar Hero guitars were compatible in Rock Band. The Bass looked cool. It had 10 buttons instead of 5 buttons in Guitar Hero. The Drum was crazily difficult but super fun. Go to try Rock Band. It will surely delight you.
