The story just began.
We arrived at a fine day. The sky was blue. The air was humid. The people looked friendly. The hotel looked comfy. The atmosphere was laid-back. What a wonderful place.
We lived in Kihel. From the map, Kihel is located on the west side of Maui. It is close to Haleakala, the volcano. Besides, it is not far from downtown.
Look at the sign on the right. What is the link between it and Maui?
We rented a car and drove around. We followed a road toward north. After passing by the downtown and bunches of resorts, the road be

We wondered how Maui residents lived. Then, at almost the end of this wavy road, we saw something. It was a speed limit. Its speed limit is 5! We did not know it. We drove on this wavy road with around 35 MPH speed. OMG.
Haleakala
Haleakala is a hibernated volcano in Maui. We hiked on Haleakala.

We saw some craters.
The road to Hana
The road to Hana is something I would not mind doing twice. The scenery part is superb. We saw black sand beach. Everything, small pebbles and big rocks, on the land is in the color of BLACK. We stopped whenever the guide book said we could. We jumped to small waterfalls, big ponds, and ocean. We enjoyed much about our wise decision - explore every possible place on the road to Hana.
I would never forget our Maui trip - five adventurous days.
